#1 Martin Luther Kingpark
From the hotel, walk north along the Amstel River. After 2 kilometres, cross the Utrechtsebrug. Once you crossed over, you will arrive at Martin Luther Kingpark. The Martin Luther Kingpark was created to the public in 1936, with the intention that residents of Amsterdam could escape the polluted city. Literally a breath of fresh air! Therefore, it is the perfect place to enjoy the quietness of the big city. The monument of Martin Luther can also be found here.
#2 Amstel
When you are longing for a more challenging walk, it is recommended to take a walk along the well-known river of Amsterdam, called Amstel River! Actually, Amsterdam is named after this river. Take the hotel as starting point and walk north. Cross over the Berlage Bridge and after 3 kilometres you will arrive at Amstelstation. Then, within two kilometres you enter Park Somerlust. After this brisk walk, you could have a well-deserved picnic here!
#3 Amstelpark
The Amstelpark, located 4 kilometres west of the hotel, is a hidden gem in the city. This immense park offers several gardens such as Heemtuin and Orangerie. Besides, it is the perfect place to relax on the waterside, as it is located on the west bank of the Amstel River. During your stroll, you cannot miss the Riekermolen, an old-fashioned typical Dutch windmill!
