Vondelpark
Vondelpark is an elongated city park in the centre of Amsterdam. The park was opened in 1865 as the 'New Park'. After the Vondel monument was unveiled in 1867, the name was changed to Vondelpark. The park has been a national monument since 1996. The park is designed in the English landscape style. With the goal that when the visitor walks through the park, he imagines himself in nature. Vondelpark is the best known and most visited park in Amsterdam. Every year, 10 million people visit the Vondelpark. There are several attractions in the Vondelpark, such as the Open Air Theatre, Vondel CS, Blue Tea House and Rosarium.
