What to do in Amsterdam during springtime

Spring has started again! This means the sun is shining. We can all enjoy spring activities in Amsterdam again. We’ve listed some of the activities, hotspots and sights you can do or visit in Amsterdam during these lovely spring months. Read all our tips below!

Amsterdamse Bos

In the Amsterdamse Bos there are many different activities to do during spring. Visit for example the blossom park. The blossom park is a park in the Amsterdamse Bos where more than 400 cherry trees can be found. In spring, this is a real attraction where not only Dutch but also international visitors go to. All the trees in the park are in bloom during spring. This is the place to take cool pictures during you stay in Amsterdam!

Furthermore, the Ridammerhoeve is located in the Amsterdamse Bos. The Ridammerhoeve is a goat farm in the middle of the Amsterdamse Bos where many goats are born in spring. Not only can you visit the little goats, but you can even give the bigger goats a bottle. The Ridammerhoeve is a place for young and old. Follow a cheese making workshop with you friends or let you children play outside in the playground and play with the goats.

Did you know that you can even take yoga lessons on the farm between the goats in the middle of the stable?

Tulips

During spring, the most beautiful flowers bloom again. The annual tulip festival is held in Amsterdam. The tulip festival brings together the most beautiful tulips at over 80 different locations across Amsterdam. The tulip festival will run from 16 April to 8 May.

Artis Zoo

Are you crazy about animals? Super! With this lovely weather, a day in the zoo is the perfect outing. There are many animals to be seen in the Artis Zoo. With this lovely weather, there is nothing better than exploring the city. Take a stroll through the streets of Amsterdam and discover the most beautiful photo spots. You can also take your friends or family on a boat trip through the canals. Enjoy a open boat tour or rent a boat yourself.
